Smart, aggressive, mistake free football will put you into the Final Round!

Gentleman!  You have made tremendous accomplishments so far, but the prize is still a few weeks away.  To continue the journey and take the final award, you have to play the smart and aggressive style of football that is Coach Russo’s Woodbridge HS Football!

Standing in your way is Piscataway.  They are not to be taken lightly.  They are a team that is filled with pride and determination.  But you are a more talented team with the uncanny ability to come from behind and “Refuse to Lose”.

Some things to remember about the last meeting against Piscataway on October 17th on your turf:

1.  Piscataway scored 14 points, all in the 1st quarter, one earned, one on a Woodbridge bad snap of a punt attempt.

2.  Piscataway rushed for 116 yards, 58 on their first possession with a TD, and only 58 yards the remainder of the game.

3.  Piscataway passed for 96 yards, 8 completions on 21 attempts.  A long of 30 yards.

4.  Piscataway had 1 INT, 1 tackle for a loss and NO sacks.

5.  Piscataway fumbled the ball away 3 times.

6.  Woodbridge rushed for 173 yards on 47 attempts for a 3.7 yards per carry, 1 for a TD.

7.  Woodbridge passed for 62 yards, 1 for a TD.

8.  Woodbridge passed for a 2 Point Conversion tying the score at 14-14.

9.  Woodbridge held Piscataway to 3 and out in OT.

10.  Woodbridge kicked a FG from 25 yards in OT.

11.  Woodbridge gave Piscataway a TD on bad snap of punt. Big Play mistake #1.

12.  Woodbridge fumbled away a scoring opportunity at the Piscataway 5 yard line.  Big Play mistake #2.

Minimize the negatives and maximize the positives, play your smart and aggressive game, and you will find success and a trip to the Finals.  No, not just a trip, but your opportunity to show New Jersey that Woodbridge HS Football is #1.  No one is capable of defeating you when you play Coach Russo’s Game!

My Prediction:  Woodbridge 21 – Piscataway 17
