"MY THOUGHTS” -  Time to Knock Out the Knights!

The Woodbridge Barrons are still on track to “Running the Table” with the defeat of JP Stevens (25-14) this past Friday night.  The Old Bridge Knights now stand in their way from maintaining it!

Old Bridge (1-4) has struggled so far this season, but should not be taken lightly.  They have produced 104 points in 5 games (20.8) while allowing 159 points (31.8).

The Barrons have registered 78 points (13.0) in 6 games, while surrendering 110 points (18.3).

Offensively, the Barrons need to focus on running the ball, scoring points and controlling the clock.  Woodbridge should be able to post 20+ points utilizing the running skills of Deshawn Knights, Christain Mangine, and Johnny Mayi.  This trio has posted 819 of the 1067 total rushing yards!

Defensively, shutting down the Knights early is critical to demoralizing their game.  In five of the six Woodbridge games, the Barrons have not allowed more than 14 points!  The talents of Anthony Diaz, Jose Clemente, Christain Mangine, Chris Bouchard, Jon Korkowski, Adams Issaka and the rest of the D-Unit have recorded 36 TFL’s (-98 yards) and 12 Sacks (-84 yards)!

Field position is key!  Special teams needs to step up against the Knights and impact the game in big ways too.  Both the coverage teams and the return teams can provide sparks by creating good field position for the offense and poor field position for Old Bridge.

Woodbridge is now sitting solidly within the top eight slots in the NJ2 – G4 standings with 30 Power Points.  They are not however a ‘lock’ to remain there.  They cannot allow the Old Bridge Knights to jeopardize their playoff berth!  And for that reason, they can take no prisoners.  It’s Time to Knock Out the Knights!

5-3 remains the goal!  Play, Defend, Score!

Sideline Prediction:  Woodbridge 21 – Old Bridge 14
