Barrons Sideline:  Not as early as 2003, but crunch time is now here!

In 2003, the Woodbridge Football program found itself with its back against the wall after opening the season with two losses!  There was no way for them to work their way into the Playoffs without winning the remainder of schedule.

When push came to shove, they stood up, and played the next six games with all the intensity and heart they could muster, running the table!  They ended the season with 65 Power Points and a seed in the NJSIAA Playoffs.

Now, the 2004 program is faced with a similar situation.  Although you don’t have to win six in a row, you will have to run the table and win the next four!  Currently, you have 18 PP’s, and using reasonable estimates, you can gain approximately 40+ PP’s with the run!  There is no way to sugarcoat it, lose and the Playoffs are a slim to none shot!  That should be a huge motivating factor in how you approach your remaining games.

I personally believe the 2004 and 2003 are equally talented.  You are very capable of accomplishing and surpassing what 2003 put into the record books.  If you want the Playoffs and that shot at the Big Game, bring your “A” game and your heart for the last four.  After you run those, we’ll talk Championship hardware!
