The Barrons Sideline

Pride, Discipline, Win… It’s Time!

After getting off to a poor start in the 2005 high school football season, the Woodbridge Barrons have put one into the W column.  So why stop there?

The season goal is a State Championship right?  Can that still be accomplished with a 1-4 record?  Statistically, yes!  But here is where the reality check comes in.  The Barrons have only 8 power points and are tied for 12th place in the North Jersey 2, Group 4 bracket.  Only the top 8 teams qualify for the playoffs.  Woodbridge will have to run the table to register 41 PP’s at the very minimum, and that may just be good enough to slide into the 8th hole and a playoff slot.

The Barrons will have to look deep inside, and for the remainder of the season, put onto the playing field the team that spanked Bridgewater-Raritan in a pre-game scrimmage, registered 349 positive yards against South Brunswick, and 497 yards against JP Stevens!  It’s time to throw the switch to ON, and as Larry the cable guy would say, “Git R Done!”

Sideline Selection:  Woodbridge 24 – Old Bridge 14
