North Brunswick -- While Bostonians proudly hang red stockings on Christmas trees this holiday season, and while New Yorkers wear Pedro Martinez and Carlos Beltran Yankee uniforms, North Brunswick will send Woodbridge a holiday gift.

What is it?

An audio cassette jam-packed with sounds of color, excitement, and "Another Raiders first dowwwwwn."

"This guy is annoying me now," a Woodbridge fan blurted from the bleachers after the NBHS stadium announcer emphasized "first dowwwwn" for the three billionth time.

A note attached to the cassette will say, "All sales final, no returns" just like a 34-19 defeat to the Raiders on Saturday night.

North Brunswick quarterback Patrick Brown passed for 179 yards on eight completions and four touchdowns to lead the Raiders to their second victory of the season.

Derek Scott opened the game with a 30-yard TD, one of three during the night.  He, Aaron Jackson, and Justin Springer rushed for a combined 118 yards.

"No more spotting points," Woodbridge head coach Brian Russo said after the game.  "We have come out stronger to start these games."

The Barrons, who fell to 4-3 with the loss, scored their first TD late in the second quarter on a 31-yard TD run by Jonathan Mercer, who received the ball on a reverse.

Garrett Mozolic, who rushed for 95 yards on 13 carries, zipped home a 24-yard TD, while Stefan Alexander scored from two yards out in the fourth quarter.

After a bye week, the Barrons will travel to East Brunswick for a huge contest against the 5-1 Bears.
